Wat Arun

Wat Arun, a heavenly peaceful place in Bangkok, also known as the “Temple of the Dawn,” is located on the west side of the Chao Phraya River. It is devoted to the Hindu God Anuna and is the most gorgeous and famous temple in the city. It is one of the few temples dating back to the founding of Bangkok. Wat Arun is even more remarkable during the sunset. It stands out with its stunning riverside location and unique Khmer architectural design. Proudly located in front of Wat Pho, it leaves its visitors speechless with its colorful decorations and majestic views. Wat Arun has a prang of more than 80 meters height, which is the highest in Thailand. Make sure to climb to the top of the prang right before sunset to admire the incredible view of Chao Praya River.

Damnoen Saduak – The Floating Market

One of the most typical characteristics of Bangkok offering local Thai spirit is its floating markets. Damnoen Saduak, located in Ratchaburi, is the most popular one. It is about an hour away from Bangkok and is known as the “Venice of the East.”

Chatuchak is the largest weekend market in the world and the best one in Thailand, where one can find absolutely everything such as jewelry, souvenirs, electronics, and even exotic animals.

Visiting this Market, you will feel the local Thai vibes and their lifestyle. There are around 15,000 stalls offering all kinds of goods you can think of. The Market is open every Saturday and Sunday and hosts around 200,000 visitors a day. Chatuchak Market also offers a huge eating area with lots of cheap and delicious places to eat.
